What is a Bail Bond?

If a person gets arrested, the court usually decides their fate by a certain date that is set on its own decision. Meanwhile, the person remains in jail awaiting the hearing. On that specific date, the court has the option to either let the person walk away unconditionally, or they can be released by submission of the bail amount. This is also set and announced by the court. Usually, the person in custody is unable to pay the amount required by the court and thus unable to set themselves free. In this case, the services of a bailing agent are often hired to foresee the case and to submit bonds on behalf of their client in order to have them removed from incarceration.

Bailing agents use bail bonds that are submitted as a form of insurance to the court in order to free the person imprisoned. There are two different kinds of bail bonds that are commonly available to be used as needed. The first one is a criminal bail bond and the second is known as a civil bail bond. The use of both bonds is similar which is to be considered as an assurance to have a person removed from jail. However, the conditions of both are very different. Bailing agent may advise to go to site and get the needed information about forms and documentation to be filled on behalf of their client, however it is always best to cross-check with the agent as in some cases, the laws changes and the documents uploaded on the web are outdated or obsolete.

If someone is in an unfortunate situation in which they need to secure the release of their relative, neighbor or friend, it is always better to ask around and look for recommendations before deciding to go with a specific bailing agent.
